Google Map Pedometer Instructions

Zoom to Your Location: Use the + and - controls to zoom in or out on the map. You can go anywhere in the US, Canada, Britain, or Japan down to street level.

Moving the Map: Move the map by using the arrow keys or by clicking on it and dragging to center it where you like.

Draw Your Route: When you are where you want to be, begin clicking on the map to draw your route.

Distance: The total distance of your route is displayed in the box, choose miles or kilometers.

Saving Your Route: To use the Permalink, first turn off the top frame if you came here from About.com. Then draw map and use the Permalink to bookmark your route.

To Reset: click on Clear Route. If you have already clicked on Permalink, then click here to reset a fresh map.
